Dawn of the Dinosaurs was a surprise superhit in the movie theatres would be an understatement. Defying the law of diminishing returns the film, which is now is a top seller in the DVD and Blu-ray versions in North America, made more money than its predecessors. Dawn of the Dinosaurs brings back those prehistoric characters, Sid (John Leguizamo), Diego (Denis Leary), Manny (Ray Ramono), Ellie (Queen Latifah), Crash (Seann William Scott) and Eddie (Josh Peck), for yet another adventure, and this time hapless Sid causes the whole group to find a few new friends and an entire land of the lost. While it's rare, it is indeed possible for a single element to save an otherwise standard piece of cookie cutter cartoon entertainment.  

Sure, the third chapter of the "Ice Age" saga has a shaky grasp of history, but newbie Buck the weasel (Simon Pegg) is an awesome addition.  

Il Divo is one of the best and funniest films of the year, a tour de force in which director Paolo Sorrentino (previously known for static if admirable films) uses every cinematic trick in the book a la GoodFellas to tell a convoluted, wickedly satirical tale about corruption in Italian politics, which is redundant but shouldn't be.  

The story is definitely going to keep the kids interested, and is way entertaining for adults as well.  

This third "Ice Age" adventure anyway, which finds Sid the sloth (John Leguizamo), Manny the mammoth (Ray Romano) and Diego the sabre-toothed tiger (Denis Leary) in an underground jungle full of dinosaurs.  

Star Edward James Olmos takes over the directorial reigns for this two-hour companion piece to the acclaimed SyFy series, which does a second lap through the show's epic moments, this time from the perspective of the enemy robot cylons rather than the survivalist humans.
